Psychotherapy is a collaborative process that will require you to make changes. For individual therapy I use integrative approaches to help you learning new ways to cope with the challenges arising in your life. I will use techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, all tailored to your personal needs. We will discuss your personalized treatment plan on our first session.
For couples, I use the Gottman method. July and John Gottman have been working and researching couples for over 30 years. Their methodology for couples is research based, structured, practical and I found it extremely compatible with my personal counseling style. Couples assessment process will require a minimum of four sessions: first session with the couple, and two individual sessions with each partner. On the forth session we will discuss the treatment plan, frequency and format of sessions and I will be able to give you an analysis of where you are and what your needs are as a couple.
